We went out on the San Marcos. We parked in downtown Martindale and walked down to the city park and then fished upstream. We both used fly rods with flies I tied. Jeff was using a Rio Getter in Brown/Olive on his 5 wt rod and I was using a black Woolly Bugger on my 3 wt rod. We both had a good day!

Jeff's uncle, Wayne, is an avid fisherman and I've had the opportunity to fish with him a few times since Erin and Jeff have been together.
Wayne is also a hunter and he had some Pheasant tails that he has kept and he sent me some to tie flies with.
So, I made him some flies.

I started out Bass fishing with my spinning rod and Ned Rig - Z-Man Finesse TRD "Bubble Gut" bait.
I saw Hawks and a Heron but did not get pics of them.
Also, saw 4-5 kayak/canoes coming down river. There were 4 man down to 1 man canoes and kayaks. A busy day on the river. They did not bother me and it was fun watching them .
